  1. sweet child O mine

Sweet child O Mine is one of the most populair songs from the band guns n roses. this band comes from Los Angeles, formed in 1985 and contains 6 members, vocalist axl rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer steven adler. The genre of music the band makes is hard rock. I think that this song became so populair because of the intro where slash played a legendary guitar solo. the song is about a child and if the singer looked at him it reminds him of his childhood memories when everything was fine and there were no problems

Movie script

00;00 / intro

00;10 / Hello, my name is Max and I’m going to give some reviews about three movies that i have seen. The movies are “slumdog millionaire”, inglorious bastards” and “12 years a slave”. I have chosen this movies out of the top 250 movies ever from imdb.com. And why I have chosen this movies  is because I liked  the titles and had read some likely review about them. It are really different types of movies.

00;40/ begin Slumdog millionaire

00;45/ Slumdog millionaire is a movie from Danny Boyle. Slumdog millionair is more a fun movie but also with a lot of mixed emotions, some parts are Sadly and lot parts are very exciting. It’s a likely movie and you Can go really into it. I think that the best way to see this movie is watch it on your own in the evening, that is how I have watched the movie. It is not really a family movie or something like that. I think the actors of this film did their jobs really good they showed real emotions, especially the youngest Jamal and  Salim like in the scene when Jamal and Salim were escaping from Maman the man who let the child’s begging for money. He would burn Salim’s eye out so he looked pathetic and earn more money. When they were escaping Jamal jumped on a train and reached his hand to Salim who was running behind the train. I guess you would not be able to distinguish it if it was real or fake. Also there were funny moments like when the boys stole the shoes in the Taj Mahal and selling them to other people. I really enjoyed it to watch this movie, and would definitely recommended the movie to other people.

01;55/ begin “12 years a slave”

02;00/ Now the film 12 years a slave, a film directed by Steve McQueen, who have also directed the films Shame and Hunger. The films goes about a man who´s name is Solomon, he´s a free man and lives in New York. One day he was kidnapped and sold to a plantation owner were he must work as a slave, after twelve years working as a slave, friend of him came with papers that said that he was a free man. Finally he went back to home and was reunited with his family but his wife was not there anymore. It is a really sadly and violent movie. You really see how the situation was back then, that black people were treated like they were animals. It is a movie based on a real story, it’s horrible how the people were treated in that time. They named black people niggers, you noticed that also in the movie but I think they said it way too much i had searched for it on the internet and that word was said around 115 times in the whole movie. the special effects in the movie were great, especially when a someone get lashes, the wounds and scars they look very real. I really don’t like the end of the movie, when he finally came home and his wife wasn’t there anymore, it was very sad, I had watched the movie with my mother and at that part she was literally crying. But it was a very interesting and beautiful movie.

3;25/begin “Inglorious Bastards”

3;30/Inglorious bastards the famous movie from the super famous director and writer Quentin Tarantino who’s also known from one of the most popular movie of the world Pulp Fiction. The story is about a group named the Inglorious bastards who will stop the world war. By means of smart tricks they  kills lots of German soldiers. They will stop the war with a plan to blow up a cinema where almost all Nazi leaders are. It’s a good movie but I had expected more from it, more action and less talk. But the scenes with much action were really good! There were very fun actors in the movie like Hugo Stiglitz and the two guys that pretended like they were Italian at the cinema, but the funniest actor was Aldo Raine with his funny statements and accent like he said arrivederci. The movie had much aspects from the film pulp fiction like how the scenes are filmed and that there were chapters. I liked the film but had expected more from it.

4;25/ begin comparing

4;30/ I have watched all three movies, if i must give a number from 1 to 10 then Slumdog millionare gets a 9, 12 years a slave a 8,5 and Inglorious Bastards a 7,5. I recommend all three films, they are really good. I think that the agreement between the films is that how hard life can be. In slumdog millionair, kids that grew up on their own without parents. 12 years a slave, innocent people being forced to work and gets lashes. inglorious bastards, people fights and killed in war.
This was my review about three really good movies, i hope that your enjoyed it, bye.

Reggae

Reggae is a music genre that comes from Jamaica. The name reggae evolved from the word “ragged”, a term used to describe a style of dance music which had its roots in New Orleans-style rhythm and blues.
Reggae was  the successor off ska and rocksteady, it was originated around 1968 and was loved by many Jamaican people. Throughout the 1960s, reggae was distributed by then independent label Island Records and was associated with the violence of the Jamaican landscape of that time. There are many types of reggae, the most important types of reggae are Roots reggae and Commercial reggae. Rootsreggae is the music that’s made since the late 60’s and is strong related with Rastafari.

How I think about reggae?
Reggae is not the style of music I like, I rather listen to day to day  music like house, techno and hardstyle. Sometimes I like it a bit because it is just soothing. Reggae is slow music and I just love faster and louder music. So that is one of the reasons why reggae music is not my style of music. But in some reggae songs there is a good beat and then i like that song. Also there is much variation between reggae songs because there are many soorts of reggae. Because of this I like one song beter that the other. Mutch reggae songs are  telling a beautiful story that is also a thing I like about reggae. But at the end reggae is not my style of music.

Reggae has spread to many countries across the world, often incorporating local instruments and fusing with other genres. From Jamaica reggea spreaded first to the mainland of South-America, but later also to North-Amerika where it became very famous especially in the big city’s like New York, Miami, Washington and Los Angeles. The UK was a primary destination for Caribbean people looking to emigrate as early as the 1950s. Because of this  Carribian music in the United Kingdom, including reggae, has been popular since the late 1960s. The UK became the base from which many Jamaican artists toured Europe and due to the large number of Jamaican musicians emigrating there, the UK is the root of the larger European scene that exists today. Reggae in Africa was much boosted by the visit of Bob Marley to Zimbabwe on Independence Day 18 April 1980. In South Africa, reggae music has played a unifying role amongst cultural groups in Cape Town. In the Philippines, several bands and sound systems play reggae and dancehall music. Their music is called Pinoy reggae. Japanese reggae emerged in the early 1980s. Reggae is becoming more prevalent in Thailand as well. Reggae music is quite popular in Sri Lanka. Aside from the reggae music and Rastafari influences seen ever more on Thailand’s islands and beaches, a true reggae sub-culture is taking root in Thailand’s cities and towns. Reggae in Australia originated in the 1980s. Desert Reggae is a developing contemporary style possibly originating in Central Australia. Lyrics are often sung in Australian Aboriginal languages.

Some of the best reggae artist are Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh and Burning Spear. But the best and most popular Reggae artist is Bob Marley”The king of reggae”. Robert Nesta (Bob) Marley was born in Nine Miles, Jamaica at 6 februari 1945. In 1963, Marley and his friends formed the Wailing Wailers. The Wailers’ big break came in 1972, when they landed a contract with Island Records. Marley went on to sell more than 20 million records throughout his career, making him the first international superstar to emerge from the so-called Third World. He was one of the most important singer for the breakthrough of reggae. In 1977 Bob Marley had a wound on his toe.  He initially indicated that it was a football injury. when his toe didn’t recovered, the diagnosis of melanoma (skin cancer) was determined. He did’t want to amputate his toe, because of his religion. The cancer then went to his stomach, and later to his lungs and brains. In 1980 while he was jogging he collapsed in a result of a brain tumor.  Bob Marley died at a age of 36 At 11 may 1981 in Miami. Like many people, I think the music of Bob Marley the best reggae is music. I like a lot of his songs. It feels like the music of Bob Marley is just different than reggae music from other reggae artists.

A song of Bob Marley  is buffalo soldier, it’s a very populair song and I like this song a lot.
The Buffalo Soldiers was the name given to the African American soldiers who fought in the 10th Cavalry during Native American conflicts in 1866. The Native American tribes gave them the nickname because their dark skin and dark curly hair reminded them of the buffalo. The African Americans were also strong. The first verse of the song tells about how the Africans were brought here against their will. They had to fight to survive from the moment they came to this country. Initially, they fought just to stay alive Later on, they were forced to fight the war for America and kill the Native American people. In the song, Marley sings, “Then you wouldn’t have to ask me, Who the ‘eck do I think I am.” He is speaking out for the African Americans who aren’t treated as equals. The Buffalo Soldiers who fought to help build the United States were not treated as equals. The answer, “I’m just a Buffalo Soldier…win the war for America” reminds us that the African Americans were instrumental in building America.
I think it is a very beautiful song Because there is a strong story behind it and it also has a good rhythm. This is certainly one of the reggae songs I like.

Another populair song of Bob Marley is No women no cry.
No Woman, No Cry is a love song based on Bob Marley’s relationship with his wife, Rita. The song makes nostalgic references to their life together in the impoverished neighborhood of Trench Town, in Kingston, Jamaica. Bob and Rita endured hard times in their early years together before Marley had any major success. Bob often traveled to make a living which caused Rita the pain of being without her husband.

The song’s title and chorus “no woman, no cry” is the main source of confusion. The phrase actually means “no woman, don’t cry” in the dialect of English that Marley spoke, known as Jamaican Patois. The lyrics in the verses make it obvious that the song has nothing to do with hard feelings toward women, including several times when he refers to the woman as “little darlin'” and tells her “don’t shed no tears”.
